The RP4-HD11 communicates directly with the vehicle's data-bus and comes pre-loaded with software that retains OEM amplifier, Steering wheel Software, 12V Accessory, Vehicle Speed Sense (VSS), Illumination, Parking Brake, and Reverse gear indicator features making it ideal for installing aftermarket Navigation or Non-Navigation Radios while maintaining the vehicle's wiring integrity also great for leased vehicles! Works in vehicles without OnStar ® or when OnStar is not serviced or wanted. The HONK840 kit is made out of factory textured ABS plastic.

It includes fully adjustable ISO mounting brackets, instructions and mounting hardware. Due to in-dash depth restrictions, some radios may not fit dash opening and/or some minor kit modifications might have to be done during installation. PLEASE READ: IF YOUR VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH A FACTORY NAVIGATION UNIT.

This is necessary due to models equipped with navigation having a different plug in which the MS-CAN, subwoofer and reverse camera wires are located. Vehicles equipped with a 7 touchscreen: Once the factory head unit has been removed you will no longer be able to set the clock or date on the factory display as this is derived from the factory head unit. The date on the screen can be permanently removed by disconnecting the battery to clear the screen's memory.

In order to set the clock you will need to disconnect the vehicles battery at 1:00 as this is the time the screen defaults to once it has been reset. Compatible with select Honda vehicles featuring a "BOSE Amplified System", "Standard" or " Premium", without Onstar or if OnStar® is not wanted. Recommended Line-level input is 2-4 Volts from aftermarket radio. RP4-HD11 does not retain factory OnStar. Includes the radio specific Harness & Antenna adapter.
